First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at National HealthCare Corporation.
Certified Nursing Assistant
The interview process here was straightforward and positive. The supervisors maintain good communication with their staff. I was willing to travel a long distance to work at this facility because I genuinely enjoy it. I appreciate their flexibility with new nurses joining the team.
- What led you to pursue a career in healthcare?
Licensed Practical Nurse
The hiring manager seemed bias and didn't like asking questions about covid 19 protocol this is a company I will never work for The front staff was not polite they seemed uninterested the hiring manager acted discriminatory to certain types of people the interview felt awkward and felt very judgemental and bias.
- Can you tell me about your background and education?
Registered Nurse
I got there a bit early and ended up getting interviewed by the floor manager last minute because the person I was supposed to meet was in a meeting. It was pretty fast, she asked some general questions, a few of which felt kind of random and not really related to the job. It could have been set up better. After that, they just gave me a tour of the place.
- Can you tell me about a patient you remember most?
- How would you go about changing a dressing?
- Which nursing magazines do you read?
CNA
They were very friendly and took time to explain expectations. They showed me around the facility and allowed me to talk to any personnel I wanted. They mentioned raises based on work record, resident response, and teamwork, and that meetings are held once a month one-on-one with the Administrator to discuss problems and offer suggestions.
- Are you willing to make a difference in the residents' lives?
