First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at National Fitness Center.
Marketing Director
After a seemingly good interview, they asked me to do a big assignment in 3 days. I sent it with my portfolio, but never heard back. I tried to get feedback twice and still no response. Really disappointing and unprofessional.
- Can you describe your creative process?
Activity Director
Got a call from the corporate area director to set up a meeting. I replied pretty fast and then met with my potential new boss and the person I'd be replacing. They made an offer in less than a week.
- Tell me about a tough situation you faced, what you did, and what happened in the end.
Child Care Worker
Saw an ad on Craigslist for a child care job and applied. Got an interview pretty quickly. The interview was in person at the place I'd be working, and it seemed like a nice, clean, and professional spot. They hired me almost immediately because of my experience with kids and how professional I seemed. The whole thing was fast and easy. They did check my references, run a background check, and I did the usual new hire paperwork.
- Can you share an instance where you had to resolve an issue with a coworker?
- Could you provide examples of how you've managed difficult situations involving parents or children?
Personal Trainer
They led me on, made me clean toilets, and gave no timeline for shadowing trainers. They said I had the job but didn't seem to support me. They have high turnover.
- Do you have prior experience?
