The hiring process started with a phone chat, followed by an in-person meeting. Scheduling was handled via email. I spoke with the direct supervisor of the role. After the initial phone interview, if I was successful, they'd set up the in-person interview, also through email.

The interview started with a conference call, but due to some technical issues, it switched to a one-on-one phone call. The interview itself felt easy, and the questions were mostly based on my resume. They asked me to go over each qualification listed on my resume. They also asked a general 'tell me about yourself' question, and some questions focused on my experience with data analysis and data management. The outcome of the interview seems to depend on how many applications they receive. The whole call lasted about 15 minutes. They emphasized that you need to have relevant experience in their field, otherwise, it's not useful.

So I interviewed with two people, and they were from different departments. They asked me some questions about why NCRC and what I'd do to help with their mission. It's a good idea to know some background about the organization and think about how you can contribute going forward. The interviewers were friendly and it lasted about two hours.

The interview process was pretty easy. Just got a single phone call to discuss behavioral fit for the firm and was given an offer the next day. Was able to use connections through my university to be able to expedite the process so it might have been less formal than normal but I think it would have still been an easy process regardless.
