First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at National Cattlemen's.
Network Security Engineer
The interview process was easy and seamless. It's a structured, multi-step approach employers use to evaluate candidates, typically starting with screening and ending with a job offer. It usually involves several stages like application review, initial interviews, technical or skills assessments, and final decision-making.
- Can you explain what a local area network is in the context of networking?
IT Project Management Director
It was an open conversation, a flowing discussion about company values and a very detailed description of company culture. I felt comfortable and appreciated the lack of rigidity. The grassroots company dynamic was presented, and I was very hopeful to be selected to continue based on the interview itself.
- In your own words, what are our company values?
Government Relations
The first phone call was pretty brief, didn't learn much about the company itself. Mostly asked about my opinions on some policy initiatives. They also inquired about my network and if I had relationships with specific teams and staff.
- Could you elaborate on your perspective regarding the current draft of the farm bill?
Manager, Organizational Communications
The interview process was lengthy. It started with a phone screening with my supervisor and HR, who were both friendly and knowledgeable. Then, I had an in-person panel interview in Denver with HR, a Director, a Senior Director, and a VP. They covered my travel expenses. The interview itself was friendly, and the questions were industry-specific and comfortable.
- They seemed to really want someone with a background in agriculture, particularly beef, and that made me appreciate the job more.
- It's often the case that people are hired into industries without experience and then speak as the voice of a company, which can lead to misrepresentation.
- I would definitely go back if there was a promotion available or if the job was remote.
