First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at National Bank of Abu Dhabi.
Senior Security Analyst
So I was working for a vendor and gave a presentation about our product. The Head of IT liked it so much he told one of his people to offer me a job. It was pretty informal since they already knew they wanted me. I then waited about 2 months and had a formal interview with HR. After that, I took some english and IQ tests before getting the offer. It took 3 months from when they said they wanted me in late Feb to when they finally hired me at the end of May.
- What are your long-term career plans?
- What prompted your departure from your previous role?
Coordinator
The selection process is in three steps: First, an HR interview to evaluate your qualifications. Second, a psychometric test to see if you're a good fit. Lastly, you'll have in-depth conversations with the hiring manager(s) to get more insights and to make sure the roles align well.
- What skills from your past job can you use in this new one?
Relationship Manager
I applied for the Assistant Relationship Manager position on the career portal. An HR person from NBAD short listed me. After that, I was interviewed by the Relationship Manager for the first round. After passing that, I was interviewed by the Director of NBAD and was selected.
- What makes you a good candidate for this position?
Intern
Got set up for a phone interview because I knew someone who knew the head of HR. The call was set up pretty quickly, within a few days. There was some confusion about which position I'd actually be doing, and that didn't get sorted out until a few days in. Overall, it felt pretty disorganized.
