Operations Manager
The interview process at the NAM was great from start to finish. It took about 4 weeks from the first screening call to the offer. The recruiter was excellent with communication, keeping me updated on next steps, timing, and what to expect. The interview process had four steps: a screening call with HR, a virtual interview with the hiring manager, a virtual panel interview, and finally, an in-person interview with the hiring manager and another leader. Everyone seemed to value my time and participation. Many interviews were conversational but included questions about my experience (tell me about a time...).

Strategic Partnerships Specialist
The interview process was really straightforward and took about a month from start to finish, with 3 rounds of interviews. The recruiter, Jasmine, was super helpful and let me know what to expect for each interview and how to get ready. After every interview, she gave me detailed feedback from the team about how I did, usually 2-3 days later. She was always quick to answer my questions and tell me what the next steps were. It was the best interview process I've been through; Jasmine made me feel prepared and was really open about what the role involves. During every interview, the team at NAM seemed genuinely interested in how I could help them, and they made sure I had plenty of opportunities to ask questions and figure out if the role was a good fit for me, both professionally and for my overall life. I really appreciated how I was treated during the interviews with NAM. They set the bar high for how interviews should go, and it made me even more excited to join because I know I'd be valued and trusted.
- In the final round, could you describe a present litigation issue that NAM is assisting its member organizations with?
Strategic Partnerships
Applied online with a referral. Had a phone screen about a week after applying. No contact for 3 weeks. Then had a zoom interview with the hiring manager, which went really well. They mentioned they wanted to 'fast track' my hiring process if the panel interview went well. The panel interview was scheduled for Friday of that same week (via zoom). It also seemed to go very well. During the last part of the interview, I was told I'd hear back from the recruiter in 'a few days'. I didn't hear back for five weeks, despite following up via email twice. I eventually emailed everyone I'd been in contact with (using bcc) and only then got an email saying they were sorry for the delay but had selected a different candidate.
- General interview questions were asked.
- There were no unexpected questions or curveballs.
Policy Director
I interviewed for this company a little over a year ago, but felt it necessary to leave a review as these reviews go a long way! The interview process at the NAM was efficient. It started with a phone screen with the recruitment director, and she was a very personable lady and explained the interview process in full detail; the next step was an one-on-one with the hiring manager, and then a group interview with a panel, who are all great people by the way! I did not receive an offer, but I was not disheartened by the decision at all. The NAM is a very respectable organization. I look forward to applying again when the opportunity presents itself. Also, I appreciated the response time from the team, as my experience with many other organizations seems to be very lengthy, sometimes stretching to 4+ months; no page was left unturned here!
- Regarding your experience in policy and lobbying, how has it shaped your career path and knowledge?
