The hiring process involved a phone screen, a one-on-one interview with the program director, and a panel interview featuring the associate director and two other program assistants. This whole thing dragged on for about two and a half months, I think partly because the recruiter was out of office for a week. The recruiter's questions about why it was taking so long and why I was better than others with similar qualifications felt a bit off. They sent an email after the last interview mentioning 'next steps,' which sounded positive, but in the end, they didn't select me.

I applied through my university's career site and they got back to me the next week to schedule a basic phone screen where they asked me to walk them through my resume. Then I had to fill out an application on their website and they said HR would reach out soon to set up an HR screen. After two weeks with no word, I followed up and they quickly replied that they weren't hiring anymore and had forwarded my resume.

First, there was a quick initial phone chat with HR. Then, I was called back for an in-person interview at their office. This on-site part had three components: a 20-minute chat with HR, a 10-15 minute timed test on computer skills (MS Office), and finally, a 20-minute interview with the supervisor for the section I'd be working in.
