Account Sales Representative
It took 7 interviews over 2 months for this role. The first was with the recruiter, then the regional director. After that, I did a ride along with a clinical field specialist (not the one I'd be working with). Then a 4th interview with the district manager, followed by an in-person interview with the CFS I'd be working with. The 6th interview was back in person with the same district manager, and the 7th and final one was with the Area Sales Director for Women’s Health.

Sales Operations
The recruiter was super nice. Then I interviewed with the hiring manager and then a final round with 5 other people, which was okay. The hiring manager skipped background and role discussion for case studies, which ran over by 30 mins. They kept changing case requirements and using 'what if' and 'assume that is true' after I answered. Later, another call with the hiring manager involved a big excel file with problems, due that night, with an offer to work on it for an extra 30 mins on the line if I wasn't busy. The data was from 2021 to September, but presented as current. They also had me present a past project, and the hiring manager argued against my points and findings, even though I'd already stated the limitations and explained the data. It was a really bad experience; the hiring manager seemed to lack professionalism and time management skills.

Sales Representative
So the whole interview process was pretty good. Started with a call with the hiring manager, they liked me and then I had a second interview with the regional director. That went well too, and they set up a ride-along with the CFS. The ride-along was awesome, we really clicked, and he even told the hiring manager I was his top pick. But then, even with all that good feedback, I didn't get the job. They went with someone else because of their diagnostic experience. Which was kinda weird since the ASR job is supposed to be a learning role, and I've got over 10 years of sales experience, including 5 in medical devices and biologics. Everyone, including the recruiter and the CFS, thought I had it in the bag, so it was a surprise for us all.
