It was a 3 round interview process. First was a manager interview. Second was SQL and Selenium. Third was a heavy Java interview covering logic and functional programming like streams. After that, they asked to write code in a different way. There was also heavy API discussion.

The interview process was pretty smooth, starting with a call from the recruiter. Then there was a coding round, followed by an interview with the Product Manager, and finally a technical round with senior software devs to check my understanding of the domain.

Technical Coding Other

This review is for the technical interview part. Two team members conducted the first part of the technical interview, which lasted an hour. I get pretty nervous with live coding, so I made some errors. One of the SQL questions stumped me, and even the interviewers couldn't figure it out. I was supposed to have a second part of the interview with one of the two members after a one-hour break, but that interviewer never showed up. After waiting 45 minutes for the other person, I emailed the recruiters who arranged the interview, but they didn't know why the person didn't show up. A week later, I sent a follow-up email asking if there was a scheduling mix-up for the second part, and within five minutes, I received an automated rejection email. The team members and recruiters I interacted with before the technical interview were great, and I was really looking forward to this role. However, the technical interviewers and the way I was ghosted for the second part, followed by having to chase for an update which led to an automated rejection, made this a bad experience.
