First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at nate.
Director, Partner Development
I spoke with a recruiter who was friendly and professional. I put in a lot of effort researching the company, testing out their app, and reading about them, only to find out that they don't support remote work. I was surprised by this for an innovative company, as most people aren't looking to return to an office. They should focus on talent, not location, if they want to grow. This information could have easily been communicated via email, saving everyone time.
- Would you be open to relocating to New York?
Finance and Business Operations
I went through 4 interviews, starting with a quick HR screen, then a chat with the team lead. After that, I had a case study presented to a panel of 4 people, and finally, I interviewed with the CEO. The process was fast and clear. The team lead and case study interviews looked at my ideas for nate's future, my industry knowledge, and technical skills. The last interview was more about seeing if I'd fit in with the company's fast-paced startup environment, checking my comfort level with things like working independently and knowing when to ask for help. Overall, it was a good and fair process that let me focus on my ideas and enthusiasm for nate, which was a nice change from just focusing on experience.
- What would you propose as new financial features for the app?
- What are your thoughts on the industry and technical aspects relevant to this role?
- How do you feel about working independently?
Product Manager
It was pretty straightforward, with a good number of interviews that included tasks and questions. You should prepare for typical product role questions. Data Scientist
The interview process was pretty easy overall. It involved a behavioral phone call and a technical phone call. I was asked about some data science methods and given a challenge to complete over a week.
