First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nasdaq.
Tester
I interviewed at NASDAQ omx Sydney, but the HR was completely unresponsive. They never let me know the result of my interview. If you have other job options, I'd avoid NASDAQ. I've never encountered such an unresponsive HR who ignored my emails and calls. To the management, I invested time and effort to travel and interview with you, the least you could do is inform me of the outcome. I'm very disappointed with this experience.
- Can you explain general testing concepts?
Quality Specialist
First, there was a casual chat about my experience, what drives me, and my career aspirations. Then, I interviewed with the Project Manager to discuss my background, goals, how it relates to the current role, my comfort with automation testing and Java coding, and my knowledge of trading, clearing, and risk. After that, I had interviews with team members focusing on team fit and my experience. Finally, an HR interview covered experience, fit, and compensation details like salary and benefits.
- How would you integrate and contribute within this team?
QA Engineer
We had a coding assessment for the first round, then another assessment for the second round, and then the final round was with the client. It was all about Java, Selenium, and Test Driven and Behavior Driven Automation Framework Development, using automation testing with Java, Selenium web driver, and cucumber framework.
