Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Intern
The interview focused a lot on my past experiences listed on my resume. It's super important to give really detailed answers and make sure they connect back to the job I'm applying for. Sometimes you might talk to just one person, but other times it could be a whole team, depending on which group you'd be joining.
- Could you tell me about any laboratory experience you have?
Intern
They talked about the project I would be working on and asked how I would go about it, what I would need, and what tech I'd use. They also went over the internship timeline and how things would work.
- What is your proposed approach to this project?
- Could you describe the resources you anticipate needing?
- Which technologies do you plan to incorporate?
Intern
applied online and then got a phone call. after the first initial phone screen, there was a behavioral interview. it was pretty chill with like five people from different teams. it took about 30-45 minutes, maybe around 5 minutes each.
- What communication issue do you find most frustrating?
