Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NASA Federal Credit Union.
Member Service Representative
Interview was three weeks after I applied and phone screening was easy. I was told they would schedule a Teams interview and it took an additional two weeks. Again it was an easy interview and I didn't get a job offer. The recruiter did completely ghost me, I sent a follow up email and a called a week after the interview just to check to see if I or someone got the job and never heard anything back.
- Can you describe your experience level?
MSA III
Shortly after applying for the MSA position, I was contacted by a very friendly HR team member to review my resume and experiences. This call felt like a meet and greet, as the questions focused on my interest in NASA and my knowledge of the institution and role. I was told the next steps would be a background check and employment verification. Soon after, I had a video-interview via Teams with the hiring branch manager. She was very nice and asked about my experiences and professional goals. The position's expectations were clearly laid out, and I understood the subsequent steps if I were considered. The whole process has been easy and straightforward.
- What makes you a good candidate for this role?
Member Service Associate
So the recruiter will come in and ask you a bunch of questions from a list. If you do well, they'll pass your info to the branch or department manager. The manager will then decide if they want to move forward with your application. After that, they'll run a background check, a drug test, and check your credit report. If all that checks out, they'll call you to let you know you've been hired.
- How would you describe your work ethic?
Member Service Representative
It was super easy and I didn't have to worry about it at all. They were hiring quickly and seemed really interested in what I had done. The interviewer was nice and professional. It was a really pleasant experience overall.
