My interview experience was great. It started with a Zoom call with the hiring manager and the CIO, and then we had a group interview with a bunch of the IT team. Everyone was super nice and made me feel welcome. It took about three weeks from when I applied to when I heard back about their decision.

Applied online and waited about 1-2 weeks to hear back. Had a phone interview with the department manager who asked a lot of questions from an online form, all of which were recorded. The interviewer was chill, but there were many questions. The whole process took a while. HR was super slow to respond. I emailed the interviewer after 2 weeks about the position, but it was already filled. HR eventually sent a rejection email a week or two later. My advice: don't just wait around for an answer.

Behavioral Presentation

So, first I had a phone interview and then I went in for an in-person interview. The in-person part had interviews with staff, faculty, and students. They also had me do a mock presentation on a topic related to the job. It was a half-day thing. Overall, I felt the process was really welcoming and well-thought-out.

I had an interview with three faculty members from the department. The interview lasted for an hour. They inquired about my subject matter expertise and my thoughts on mindfulness. It was a comfortable conversation, and they also asked me to discuss how I would handle diversity and inclusion.
