Behavioral Other

It was a really nice conversation, and they were very kind. They asked if I'd ever seen a UFO, which I thought was a bit strange. They explained they ask this to help screen out people with schizophrenia, which makes sense because someone who is hallucinating conversations with the walls wouldn't be very productive.

I met with the owner multiple times at two of his stores. Then, he asked me to do some online tests at home to assess my knowledge. I completed the Napa online training, which was similar to Carquest's training. After the tests, I met with the owner again. He said I did great on the tests and offered me the job at $10.00/hour, despite my 15+ years of experience.

Behavioral

I interviewed with the Area District Manager at the store I applied for and also spoke with the store manager. It was a straightforward interview. They seemed to value my previous experience as a NAPA counter person and my current industry knowledge. They gave me a good overview of the benefits, job description, hours, and opportunities for advancement and reviews. I also got to ask questions.
