During phone screens, I was asked for salary history, which is illegal in CA. When I asked for the pay scale, I was told it's against company policy. I had to quote CA AB 168 for them to provide the range. After getting the range, I went for an in-person interview. The entrance was tricky, on a side street, and two security guards yelled at me for using the 'wrong' entrance and wouldn't help. The 'correct' entrance security guard yelled at me for trying to turn into the driveway on a city street. Inside, I was escorted to meet two employees. One spent the time setting up a remote conference with someone who didn't have my resume. I was asked questions by one interviewer, then asked to repeat the same answers for the third person. The process was unorganized and unprofessional, making me decide not to take the job.

I got a call for a screening. We scheduled it, but they didn't show up. Then they called back to apologize and reschedule. I called them back three times and left messages, but didn't hear back for days. Finally got a call for the phone screening. Then, I scheduled a second call with someone. I asked for an email to confirm because the first call was a bit of a chase. They promised an email that morning. Got a template email saying they reviewed other resumes, but sorry. Interesting.

Applied online and got a call from a great recruiter who stayed in touch throughout. The first interview was a phone call with the manager, which went well though she was a bit hard to read. Then I was invited for an in-person interview at the Culver City Office. I did my homework on the company and founder. At the in-person, I met the manager (who was friendly) and one of the MDs. They didn't go deep into my resume since they already had a good sense of my qualifications. I got a quick office tour. The MD wanted me to meet the Director, but she was unavailable, so I waited. She also seemed hard to read. The offer came the following Monday after some back and forth. The recruiter kept me updated. When the offer came, I needed to negotiate the salary. The recruiter made a soft intro to HR, and HR called me to discuss and negotiate the offer. All my questions were answered, and I'm excited to join the team.

HR manager did an initial phone screen, it was straightforward and they were friendly and informative about what to expect. I was told that I was one of three people being interviewed and that I would progress through two phone interviews and an in-person interview. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and direct. Questions were meant to connect my prior experience to the needs of the position. All three subsequent interviews happened within a week. HR called to notify me of an impending offer the evening after my in-person interview.
