Software Engineer
The interview process was good and the rounds were easy to pass if you have strong programming skills. Before the interview, make sure to learn a language you've studied perfectly and just review the basics of what you've learned.
- Can you tell me about your programming questions from the languages you've learned?
- Please explain programming questions related to the languages you have learned.
Sales Vice President
It started with a 1-hour meeting with the VP of Sales. Then, I met someone from the NYC office. After that, I met the CRO along with 4-5 other people from sales, account management, and product. It was a pretty friendly vibe, and everyone seemed to know their stuff. I was pretty bummed out about the follow-up though. I spent about 6-7 hours interviewing, even taking time out of a trip to NYC to meet them there. They were pretty responsive for the first 2-3 weeks, and then... nothing. Complete silence.
- Can you share your background in managing a sales team?
- What's your experience been like selling SaaS products?
Ad Operations Manager
I was emailed to set up an in-office interview for this role. Although the title is Manager, it's more about managing clients than a team. The company and product are solid, but the role wasn't for me. I met with two VPs of Operations and an Ad Ops Manager. All three stressed from the start that the job requires staying in the office until at least 7 PM, often later. They emphasized the workload as if it's a unique challenge, suggesting they've hired people who couldn't handle it. My previous startup role involved handling all aspects of a similar position and managing clients. Interestingly, few questions were asked, and I felt it was a bit of a waste of time trying to understand their time management issues. Apparently, due to late hours, they allow later start times, but this doesn't reduce the expected departure time, meaning some might work longer hours than others. The overall atmosphere felt geared towards recent graduates. Despite this, the company itself is great, and the people I met were nice, so it could be a good fit if this work style suits you.
- Nothing out of the ordinary was asked
Sales Manager
So the interview process was pretty standard but they really dug deep. First, there was an intro chat about the company, the job, and what they're looking for, where I got to talk about myself and ask stuff. Then, the main part was a client presentation, which was basically to see how I handle public speaking and if I can ask the right tough questions.
- Can you share details about your past positions in sales?
