DevOps Engineer
The hiring process for the senior DevOps engineer role, which is tagged to Delhi location and can be hybrid with flexible 24/7 shifts, included an aptitude screening, technical assessment, and HR interview, followed by an offer review and final confirmation email. There were some delays, but it was generally a smooth process.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Devops Engineer
People working in Nagarro have very little idea about DevOps. So they ask basic questions that can be easily found in the first two/three links of Google if you type DevOps interview questions. So basically, if you clear the aptitude test and have worked even for one month in automation/cloud or CI, then you are selected.
- Can you describe the CI/CD process flow in your previous organization?
- What are some basic AWS concepts you are familiar with?
- What are some basic Docker commands you know?
DevOps Engineer
I interviewed with Naggaro on July 20, 2019, for a DevOps role focusing on Shell Scripting with Puppet. It was a walk-in interview. The process was clear but took my whole day because there were many candidates and the panel was slow. I got selected in all rounds, which included two technical interviews and one MCQ. I also completed the HR interview where salary and joining details were discussed. After a week, when I followed up, they said they were matching the profile. This was confusing because they called me for the interview mentioning my profile was shortlisted and the technical panel had selected me (I saw an 8/10 rating for my technical interview). They then said they would update me next week. After multiple follow-ups, they replied that my profile didn't match the current JD, but they'd keep it under consideration. The technical interviewer had mentioned I'd be a good fit for an automation role. When I brought this up, he said there were various parameters to consider. This was a new experience for me, as I've interviewed elsewhere. I'd heard great things about Naggaro, but after this worst experience, I'll never go back.
- Can you describe your current project and your role within it?
- What is your understanding of Puppet?
- In your current project, where have you utilized Puppet?
