It's a two-round process. First, you'll chat with the subcontractor, then the prime contractor will assess your overall fit and qualifications.

Behavioral

The CEO was very charming in our first call, but in our second call was unwilling to budge on any of my very reasonable requests. He used strange scare tactics, including trying to triangulate me with and my teammate, suggesting she was trying to take my job (as if my colleagues and I don't talk). In email follow up I was expected to sign an offer letter in less than 24 hours on a weekend, then I was given a 2pm Monday deadline, and when I asked for one more day there was an email about all these very rigid deadlines and processes that 'surely I should understand as an experienced project manager'. This is not believable based on my extensive experience with small company CEOs, and other current negotiations with competitors who are all bidding on the same contract with the same Thursday deadline. Yucky tactics. I'm staying far away from this place.

The interview process was really thorough. First, I got a call from their TA specialist. This phone screen went over all the job details and my qualifications. After that, they narrowed down the candidates for in-person interviews. It was a panel interview with senior leadership. They asked good questions for the role. I got to ask my questions too, and they answered honestly. The interview lasted about an hour and a half. Then, I had a follow-up interview with the CEO and some other people.

Behavioral Other

Had a really bad time with the management during the interview process. The recruiters were great though, but the higher-ups (maybe the owner?) were the complete opposite. Super weird vibe. I wish I'd listened to my gut during the interview and not taken the offer. My advice to others is to trust your instincts if you get a weird feeling during the interview!
