Service Desk Technician
So far the interview process has been nice. For my specific position i applied to they do require a technical assessment which they custom made and takes about an hour according to them.
- What makes you want to work at this company?
Technical Support Engineer
It was a 4 step process. First, a phone interview. Second, an online technical test. Third, an in person interview. Lastly, a culture interview, which was different and interesting. It was the thing that got me most excited about the job. The staff were really friendly and really made me feel welcome.
- Can you describe your experience with supporting and implementing technical solutions?
Depot Technician
I found this job on Indeed and a few days later got an email for a phone interview. The phone interview went well, the person talked about the job, company, and daily duties, but it was different from the job ad. They said a local manager would call. The next week, a manager emailed asking me to interview on dates that had already passed, but they fixed it and offered two future dates. It had been two weeks by then. At the interview, the tablet was super slow and the app crashed after I submitted my info, losing everything. The interviewer was a bit late and it seemed like there was a big disconnect between the phone interviewer, the local interviewer, and the job posting. The duties described in person were different from the job ad. They asked about customer service and role-played phone calls, which felt weird for an entry-level job advertised as such. They asked questions like 'lead you into what they want you to say' which is odd for entry level. The interviewer seemed unenthusiastic and the receptionist wasn't welcoming. Overall, the whole place and vibe felt off. The interviewer mentioned a 'culture interview' if I got the job, but didn't explain it. The phone interviewer mentioned a tour of the work area, but that never happened during the hour-long interview, which is supposedly one of at least three rounds for an entry-level role. I emailed them back at the end of the day to decline the offer.
- Could you role-play some help desk support phone calls?
- What type of manager do you prefer to work with?
