& Process

It was really easy and short. The manager was super nice and talked about the company vibe, the benefits, and how you could grow within the company. Excited about the possibility of joining them.

The interview process was a little confusing. I was initially brought in for an Assistant Manager position, but it turned out the role was for a Sales Consultant instead. The compensation plan seems pretty aggressive and might be tough to hit targets. The people on the team were mostly nice though.

This was the most unprofessional job interview I’ve ever been a part of. It was with the district manager, who is a very eccentric guy. He was cussing the entire time and some of his remarks were borderline demeaning. The whole interview seemed like one giant sales pitch on why MUV fitness is one of the best companies to work for, and how you can make insane money by working with this company. It was about how you can make more money there compared to any other job right now, while contributing to saving people’s lives, and how MUV makes their employees first priority. After I was offered the job, I did research on the company and found out employee reviews state that they were promised to make tons of money but only end up making minimum wage or less than minimum wage. No benefits, other than a gym membership. They are expected to work 24/7 and meet crazy high sales expectations. All of this directly contradicted to what I was told in the interview. After looking into employee reviews, I then started looking at company reviews. All of them were AWFUL. 95% of them claimed this business is a huge scam. I’m not going to go into great detail about this because you can look it up yourself- but they are basically stealing money from their clients constantly. Then I headed to the BBB website and searched it up. 60 complaints filed with the BBB in a span of ~ 1 year. All having to do with scams. I am SO thankful I had the urge to look into this company before signing any paperwork/onboarding. It seems like a train wreck. After reading all of those reviews I would not feel comfortable letting a company like this even know my personal information.

I got recommended for the role and then I reached out to the coordinator via email. She replied really fast and let me pick a time to meet the following week. When I went in, I did a demo for two types of classes for her. Afterwards, we talked and she asked what it would take to hire me. We figured it out, completed some initial paperwork, and even planned my first class. She sent me links for things I needed to do and then immediately started the paperwork. A week later, I was officially hired and went to the home office to finalize everything and complete onboarding. It was a super smooth process.
