First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Museum Of Contemporary Art.
Project Manager
After going through multiple rounds of interviews, I was ghosted. It really says a lot about how a company operates and treats its people. While I don't have much else to say, I think it's helpful for others to know about experiences like this so they can make their own informed decisions about whether that kind of approach is acceptable to them.
- Could you start by telling me a bit about yourself?
Customer Service Representative
It was a group interview, pretty standard stuff. One person was a plant, already working there. It wasn't hard but dragged on way too long, could have been quicker. Honestly, they just picked people based on personality and who they vibes with.
- Participate in role-play exercises that mimic real customer scenarios.
Creative Intern
I sent in my application and answered some long questions. Then I had a group interview and a solo interview. During the group interview, we looked at some art and then broke out into smaller groups. The solo interview was more about getting to know me as a person.
- What is your interest in contemporary art?
Front Desk Associate
I met with the board members, department staff, and the museum coordinator. This was back in 2014 when allegations were coming out that the director was involved in some kind of crazy show. Anyways I do think that any interview process should be abolished for the simple facts actions will always speak louder.
- There were way too many questions for me to remember, honestly.
- What are your thoughts on the current allegations surrounding the director?
- How do you think past experiences shape an individual's future performance?
