The interview process was very professional and thorough. I started with a phone interview, and then had two more interviews where I met with several staff members. They were very timely in scheduling the interviews and accommodating to my availability since I was still working with another company.

The initial application was easy. They don't interview in person, only through an online video recording app. I don't think this is the best way to find good people compared to in-person interviews. You can re-record your answers, but talking to a camera feels weird and robotic. Without someone there, you can't tell how they'll react to your answer, which might explain why companies have high turnover and hire inexperienced people. It's like, someday we'll realize when technology is good and when it's not, and interviews or filtering applications are not it. Based on my experience, most instructors are inexperienced college students, which is probably why they ask the questions they do. These companies only care about profit; if they cared about customers, they wouldn't use robotic interviews and would hire experienced people.

Interview was with the President/Co-Founder in a WeWork space. He was late. Once we finally got in a room, he reviewed my resume, noted my real-estate investment experience, and then asked about his personal real-estate investment opportunities instead of job-related questions. The interview was cut short because he was late and the room was booked. He said he'd let me know within two days, but after I followed up multiple times, I never heard back. It's not hard to send a quick email to say no.

First, I had a video call screen with the branch manager about the job expectations and my interest in the role. After a few weeks, I went for an in-person paint audition where I had to pretend to teach a class on painting one of Muse's paintings. It was a bit nerve-wracking, but the manager made it fun! It was a really fun and hands-on interview experience overall.
