So I read the reviews about the interview process not being great and I decided to go for it anyway, which was a mistake. They dragged it out for over a month, did a bunch of rounds, and then had an onsite. After all that, they said my experience wasn't what they were looking for. The hiring manager kept rescheduling last minute without telling me beforehand. No technical questions were asked at all to check my skills. The hiring manager didn't seem to know what he was looking for, honestly. My advice is to check the reviews before you waste your time applying.

The HR interview was quite aggressive and rude. The HR person started by asking for consent to record the conversation. Then, they inquired about my ballpark salary expectations and proceeded to attempt to low-ball me based on my previous job experience. They also explicitly stated that relocation assistance would not be provided, citing that the company has sufficient local talent. The HR person made an attempt at asking technical questions, but it felt out of place and not genuinely technical. Ultimately, no actual technical assessments were performed. Towards the end, the HR person reiterated that while Murata is a good place to kickstart a career, I should personally consider if relocating across the country is a worthwhile decision.
