The interview process was long and I wasn't really told how much focus would be on Microsoft. They said we'd be like business advisors, helping customers pick the best product for them. Basically, we were tech support for people who had trouble with Microsoft apps.

The interview process was pretty easy. The first part was a short phone interview, which took approximately 15-20 minutes. They asked about why you think you would be good for this position, and if you understand what the position is about. The lady explained to me what the position was about, which wasn't helpful at all. The second part was in the actual building, it also took about 20-30 minutes, and it was the lady that you spoke on the phone plus a senior manager. They asked about previous experience with technology and websites/etc. After that, it took a very very long time to hear back. But there are only two parts to the interview.

I found the job on Craigslist. Someone called me back in a few days, and I had an interview shortly after. The training started within a week and lasted for a week (though I heard it's changed since then). About three weeks in, I started shadowing and taking calls. How quickly you get good at this really depends on you.

So I had this great chat with someone at the company for about two hours. We talked about tech, my passions, what I was looking for, and why I was interested in Mural. I didn't know much about the company beforehand, but they did a solid job explaining what they do and their mission during our first conversation.
