Behavioral Technical Case Presentation
Started with a recruiter call, mostly about background and explaining the interview process. Then had two rounds with the hiring manager and a peer. The first was an hour long, covering behavioral and technical questions on DS concepts, motivation, and situational handling. The second round was 2.5 hours, quite similar to the first but included a business case to prepare and present. Behavioral questions were a bit strange, touching on personality, hobbies, strengths/weaknesses, and usual past experience questions. It felt like a poorly designed interview for getting candidate insights. After this, they were slow to give feedback, eventually saying "other candidates with a better matching profile are more advanced". When I asked about typical projects and daily work, they couldn't give a clear answer. Wouldn't recommend this company; they seem disorganized.

I had a phone screen first, then two separate days on-site, each lasting 1-2 hours. The first on-site day was mainly to talk about the job, review my resume, and discuss my past experience and projects. The second on-site day was more technical, where we went into more detail about my projects and discussed some hypothetical modeling questions. I haven't received any feedback yet.
