I had a phone screening with HR, then a video meeting with the controller. The last round was in person with the controller, general manager, and HR, although she had to leave early because she was sick. I had a pretty bad experience overall. The HR person was sick and left without much notice, and the GM interviewed me while reading my resume for the first time. It felt really unorganized and unprofessional. It seemed like HR was ghosting me and didn't value my time.

The interview process was pretty engaging. First, I had an interview with the hiring manager, and then a second interview with a panel. The initial questions focused on my school projects and research background. The next part involved technical questions about specific CAD/CAE tools.

The interview started with questions about my previous experience and focused on my resume. They wanted to know about my responsibilities and the projects I'd worked on, including any difficulties I encountered and how I overcame them. They were also interested in my most successful projects and how I achieved them. The goal was to assess my past successes and how I handled challenges, to see if I had the technical and soft skills for the role. My extracurricular activities were also discussed as they related to the company's work.

I had an in-person interview that was very informal and unlike typical interviews. The environment was great, and the three interviewers were friendly and transparent. They explained what to expect and what they'd be doing during the process. No technical questions were asked.
