I first spoke with the HR manager over the phone, and then I had a Skype call with three of the managers I would have been working with. The Skype was because I was living out of state. All the interviews were pretty straightforward and focused more on me and my resume.
- What's your background with your programming language?
Product Manager
I was first contacted via email, which was convenient. My initial interview involved meeting with three people. Subsequently, I had a follow-up meeting with several board members. Everyone I encountered during the process was highly professional and made me feel very welcome.
- Can you describe how you manage stress?
- What's your approach to dealing with different personalities?
- Could you share your experience with intellectual property law?
Project Coordinator
So first, I had to do this translation test to show I know the language. It was a take-home thing, but I had to get it done by a certain date. Then, I had a three-part interview all in one day. I met with my potential managers first, then the director, and then HR talked about pay and stuff.
- What is your motivation for seeking employment at this company?
Manager
I interviewed with the HR director, my direct supervisor, and a VP. The HR director got back to me about a week later. I got a written offer and accepted.
