You'll start with an online course about personal lines inspection that they'll pay for. If you pass that, you'll have a phone interview with HR. After that, a Microsoft Teams interview will be set up with the regional manager.

The interview process was straightforward, involving just one interview, after which I received a job offer. A drawback is the low salary offered by this company. The company culture also leaves something to be desired, with a high turnover rate and a lack of strong leadership.

The interview process was a bit unusual. People were dressed casually, from jeans to shorts, while I wore a suit. The office itself was hard to find, with no clear signs indicating what was inside. During the interviews, the people there, including the owner, seemed really focused on understanding how the large companies I'd worked for managed employee performance. There wasn't an HR department, and the hiring VP contacted me directly. The interview felt like a mix of discussing my past experiences and assessing my suitability for the role, with a specific interest in performance management strategies from previous employers.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process started with a 30-minute phone call with a manager. After receiving an offer, the process moved to HR and training. This involved uploading documents via a surprisingly easy website, much simpler than systems used in universities for young students. However, the HR department, responsible for entering employees into training, seemed disorganized. Despite multiple attempts to upload paperwork, requests for re-uploads were frequent, particularly for five distinct photos needed for ID badges. This backlog delayed training and nearly led to removal from the program due to perceived slowness in processing. Direct management intervention was required to resolve this. Later, during computer-based training modules, HR again released me from training for the same reason, even though the delay was due to their own administrative issues in getting me into training promptly. My experience suggests Mueller's hiring and training process for out-of-state inspectors (like myself in IL, coming from NY) is inefficient, likely an HR issue rather than a management or training one.
