Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mu Sigma.
Software Developer
I got found on LinkedIn and had a phone interview the same day. It was kind of technical, kind of not. They asked me general questions about what I know that I had to back up. Then, two days later, I had a technical interview where the interviewer let me talk a lot about my projects without asking many specific questions. Three days after that, I had another technical interview with a big team over Microsoft Teams. They asked some standard questions and some more specific ones. The whole thing was fast and didn't give me much time to prepare. They didn't ask any behavioral questions.
- Can you share an instance of a challenging problem you encountered and describe your solution?
Software Engineer
I applied online, then had a phone screen, did some technical tests, and then went for on-site interviews with different panels. They looked at my technical skills and if I'd fit the culture. It involved behavioral stuff and talks with important people. I'm in the last part now, talking about my skills and how I'd match the team's goals.
- Could you explain the fundamental concepts of Object-Oriented Programming?
Senior Software Developer
The interview process was smooth and mainly focused on MSBI questions. It's disappointing when companies don't consider the candidate's expected salary, especially after agreeing on it beforehand, and then try to negotiate during the offer stage. This creates a bad impression. Companies should only invite candidates for interviews if they are prepared to meet the expected salary. My experience with mu sigma was very disappointing.
- Were you asked MSBI related questions?
