First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MTU Aero Engines.
HR Intern
The interview process was pretty standard with common questions you'd expect in interviews. They asked things like why you want to work at MTU and why you're interested in this specific role. There weren't any English tests. The interviewers were quite empathetic and I felt comfortable right away.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses, and how do you handle pressure?
- Tell me about your strengths and weaknesses, and how you perform under pressure.
FinOps Analyst
During the interview, the candidate will be asked about their professional experience, qualifications, and personal strengths. They will explain their motivation for the position and the company. The interviewer will provide information about the job requirements. The candidate will have the opportunity to ask questions. Finally, the next steps in the selection process will be explained.
- What non-quantifiable strengths do you bring to this role?
Supply Chain Analyst
The first interview was directly with the hiring manager and a manager from a team I'd be working with. The atmosphere was good. They started by giving a lot of info about the department and their work, then introduced themselves. After that, they asked me standard questions about myself and how my background fits the job description. I felt the second part was a bit disorganized; maybe having someone from HR there would have helped structure it better. Also, the job description mentioned 'experience in project management,' but they seemed to expect more experience in leading digitalization projects than what was stated.
- What makes you the best candidate for this position?
- Can you describe your experience in leading digitalization projects?
Working Student
First, there was a phone call with HR where they answered my questions about the role in detail and shared further info. Then, I had an in-person meeting with the team lead. We talked about my background, my reasons for applying, and what I've learned. I also did a self-presentation and discussed learnings from projects, including their challenges. They also tested my personality with some light stress questions.
- How did you find working on Project XY?
