First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mspark.
Reporting Associate
The recruiter was dismissive and said they needed to fill the role fast, so it seemed likely they'd hire someone from this round. I then spoke with the hiring manager and another team member. They said I'd hear back by the end of the week, but I didn't. I thought I was ghosted, so I archived the job. A week later, I got a generic rejection email with a weird reply-to address. Then, just two hours after that, I saw the same job reposted on LinkedIn. It made me wonder how serious they are about hiring.
- Can you explain what an Excel Macro is?
Customer Experience Manager
It was a panel interview with several department managers who each had questions. Some were warm while others were distant & serious. The questions were often redundant, which made me wonder why they didn't compare notes before starting so they wouldn't waste time. But the overall the interview experience was fine.
- Can you share an instance where you faced competing priorities and explain how you managed those tasks?
Digital Marketing Analyst
A third-party recruiter contacted me on Linkedin at the end of 2021. After I showed interest, interviews were scheduled. I met with two managers and then the VP. The VP already talked about a conference to attend and projects to start, and said there would be a meeting with Mspark's HR just for formality. I met with the HR person and was told to contact them the next week. It felt like an offer was coming. But then I never heard back. The recruiter found out from Mspark that they had some financial changes and stopped hiring for this role. They mentioned a new role in Q1 2022 in a different department. It felt pretty disorganized to me, wasting so much time on interviews and then changing plans last minute. But, everyone I met was nice.
- Can you share a recently acquired skill that you found particularly valuable?
Sales Manager
I put my resume in on the internet and Al P. got back to me in a couple days. We did a good phone interview and he told me exactly what would happen next. I then had an in-person interview with the VP at their office about a week after that. The last step was a panel interview down in Alabama. I didn't end up getting the job but it was a great experience all around.
- Are you a resident of the assigned territory?
- Do you have basic interview questions to assess your suitability for the team?
