Graduate Engineer Trainee
The interview process had 6 rounds in total, each being an elimination round. The rounds included a technical test, an aptitude test, a psychometric test, a day in the plant activity, a group discussion (GD), and a final interview. The HR treatment was very unprofessional and rude.

Graduate Engineer Trainee
The whole placement process at MRF spanned three months and involved four elimination rounds: a written test, a group discussion, a preliminary interview, and a final interview. Round 1 was a written test for 48 students, comprising four sections with separate timers: Mechanical Objectives (30 questions, 30 min, moderate difficulty, covering core mechanical subjects), Aptitude (30 questions, 40 min, easy-moderate difficulty, mostly logical reasoning and some tricky quant questions), Personality Test (44 questions, 10 min), and Scheduling Activity (3 sets, 20 min, prioritizing tasks to gauge work-life balance). Round 2 was a group discussion for 15 shortlisted students, with the topic 'Impact of Covid on Indian Economy'; individual thoughts were presented online, and technical topics are also possible. Round 3 was the preliminary interview for top performers, splitting candidates into R&D (2 students) and Maintenance (11 students). This round was technical + HR for Maintenance and primarily resume-based for R&D (projects, IVs, courses, certifications, webinars), with technical questions for Maintenance. My interview for R&D lasted about 10 minutes with a panel of 3 (HR, Manager, R&D technical person). Round 4, the final interview, was for 3 students (1 Maintenance, 2 R&D) and involved a panel of 2 (HR, VP of R&D). It was a formal interview where the VP discussed R&D divisions and asked about my preferences, future studies, and relocation consent. This round lasted 8 minutes. Offers were extended to 2 students (1 Maintenance, 1 R&D) ten days later.

So, first there was like a technical aptitude test, and then they filtered based on that. After that, we had a group discussion (GD). Then came the technical interview, followed by an HR round. They ended up selecting five students. Later, they'll send the offer letters to our emails.
