First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mphasis.
Software Test Engineer
First up was the HR screening to check if I'm a good fit, covering my background and how I communicate. They asked about my experience, when I can start, what salary I'm looking for, and why I applied. Then, there were two tech rounds focusing on my software testing skills and experience. The questions were mainly about the testing process itself – things like test planning, creating test cases, the defect lifecycle, SDLC, different kinds of testing, and methodologies like Agile/Scrum. I also had to talk about my past projects, my part in them, any hurdles I came across, and how I made sure the work was good quality. The very last bit was a chat about salary and benefits, where they sorted out the pay and other employment details.

The interview process was smooth and effective. HRs were very responsive throughout the process, overall a good experience. After onboarding, they continuously kept in touch without being overly micromanaging.

Test Engineer
I interviewed with Mphasis virtually. I completed two technical interviews, one with a TL and another with a PM. The HR then called me and informed me about an additional round. In this final round, they asked technical questions again, and although I provided answers, they were looking for different responses.
- What is your understanding of SQL?

- Tell me about managerial aspects.
