Behavioral Case

It was a pretty standard tech interview. Started with a recruiter chat. Then I spoke with the hiring manager. The teammate interview seemed to vary based on who you got; mine was pretty tough and involved a lot of hypothetical situation questions. They also gave me a take-home assignment. Finally, I had a chat with the Director or VP. So, the steps were teammate, director/VP, and take-home. The interviews mostly focused on account and customer strategy.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process involved an initial HR phone screen, followed by a general tech discussion with the hiring manager. This discussion included questions specific to the Android ecosystem. Despite the interviewer appearing disengaged (yawning frequently, which felt disrespectful and indicated low interest), I managed to answer all questions. Ultimately, I received a rejection email and no response to my follow-up about feedback.

Behavioral Technical

It started with a recruiter phone screen, then a behavioral chat with a Senior TSE. After that, I had a technical interview covering JavaScript and SQL for me. Then, I got some feedback and had questions for my two 'proctors.' The next part was, like some others mentioned, four separate interviews with different folks I'd be working with. They all did behavioral-style interviews and talked about how they collaborate. Everyone was super approachable and seemed to genuinely love the company culture. The final interview was with the SVP of the area, with the same format. I heard back the next day about getting an offer, and then received the offer later that same day.

The interview was conducted via Zoom and arranged by a temp agency. It was initially scheduled but then canceled last minute without any notification. It was rescheduled for the next day. Upon logging into the Zoom call, I was asked two questions and then the interview ended abruptly. The first question was about my scheduling experience, and the second was about my familiarity with Greenhouse. When I mentioned I hadn't used Greenhouse but had experience with other ATS, the interview concluded. While requiring specific software experience is understandable, it's frustrating that this wasn't communicated upfront to the agency, especially given how the situation unfolded.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you describe your experience with scheduling tasks?
  • Have you previously worked with the Greenhouse platform?
