The hiring manager reached out and I did a phone screen, then another phone interview with team members. They do all the interviews over the phone for the summer internships to make things fair for people not from the area, which is fine, but I think talking in person would have been better for the applicant. The interviewers seemed really distant and were rushing me off the phone the whole time. They asked me one question, which was 'walk me through your resume,' and then let me ask questions. After each question I asked, they just asked 'anything else?' It didn't feel like they were really interested in talking to me. I got a standard rejection email from HR and no feedback on why I didn't get the position.

I got an email asking me to set up a Skype interview with two employees at the company, one my potential boss and one from the same department. It was my first Skype interview and I really wouldn't suggest it, the connection was bad, we couldn't see each other well, and there was a delay. The interview was pretty basic, mostly questions about the company and the role, and then about me and my resume. After that, I got another email asking me to come in for a second interview with the head of the department. The office has a really creative, young, laid-back, and inviting vibe. People had dogs and they really personalized their workspaces. I was glad I didn't wear a suit, I wore business casual which felt right for the environment. The second interview felt more like a chill conversation than an interview, they made me feel super comfortable. Then they showed me around the office. I heard back the next day.

It was a good experience, no complaints. The interviewers were pleasant and seemed interested in assessing my personality. The process involved a group presentation with all the other candidates. Each department seemed to be hiring an intern, suggesting plenty of available roles.
