First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Moxie.
Customer Service Representative
I had my first interview on Zoom, it was like a small group meet where they asked me to introduce myself and why I chose this role. Then, I had a second Zoom meeting where they talked about their operations and development. Finally, I got a call from the recruiter who said I was selected and asked some basic questions again.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What made you choose this role?
Event Manager
The interview process was pretty straightforward and really fast. After I sent in my resume, the HR Director reached out and asked me for a quick rundown of what I wanted and about my past jobs. She then set up a quick phone interview with the hiring manager for the next day. During that call, the hiring manager talked about the job and what they needed. Then, I got invited for an in-person interview at the office. That's when I got a deep dive into the company, how they handle clients, and their event profit margins. After the office visit, I was sent to check out an event to see what they're actually like. That was the best part. I was only there for about 15 minutes and got to meet one of the top people. Everyone in HR was super nice and helpful, making it a chill interview. I really liked the whole process and was super glad Moxie didn't drag it out.
- It's a good idea to review the client portfolio and have a general understanding of the company.
Account Manager
The first round of interviews was okay. They asked basic questions like your strengths and weaknesses and why you applied to the company. They said they'd review applicants and call the top three for a second round. I was super excited to get called back for the second round! The second interview was at a SAMs club showing the day-to-day stuff, which was fine, but they didn't go into detail about the company, hours, salary, or anything. I had a lot of unanswered questions. They also said they'd call to follow up about the interview and whether I'd get a third interview, but they never did.
- In what ways would I be a valuable addition to your company?
Marketing Coordinator
I had a quick chat with the manager who didn't seem too thrilled to be there and asked what seemed like the same questions they always do. It was a waste of my time, especially driving through a storm only to find a lobby full of other people waiting. I'm not sure how the manager makes over $75K (their words) just managing sales booths at Sam's club. I had that first interview months ago and just got called back for another one. Weird.
