I applied for the job via an employee referral and set up a phone interview with the recruiter via email. When it was time for the phone screen, the recruiter never called, so I had to call her. She claimed she never got my email confirmation, even though I had blind copied myself and there were no issues. She then proceeded with the phone screen, asking several questions, and told me I'd hear back in two weeks. I didn't hear anything until the last day, when I was emailed for a face-to-face interview. The in-person interviews felt like a 'cattle call' with other candidates. There were two recruiter interviews, each lasting 20 minutes. They mostly asked personality questions, like if I enjoyed helping people. The recruiter even yawned during one of my answers. At the end, I was told I'd hear back within two weeks because a new class was starting soon. I didn't hear back in that time, so I sent two follow-up emails. After three weeks, I finally got an email saying I wasn't selected for the program. It was a standard rejection email with no feedback. I'm very disappointed with the whole process. Movement claims to be different from other mortgage companies, but they're not. I saw a lot of shadiness from HR when I worked there, and not much diversity in hiring. I was really looking forward to a career transition and thought this program would be a great fit, especially since they said it's for people interested in career changes. I feel their hiring approach is very 'high school'-like and not suitable for a professional mortgage company.

I applied for this position about two years ago as well. The phone interview I felt went great it's based on character no questions were asked about my background. I waited almost two weeks and then followed up. no soon as I did that I received the decline email. This is the exact same thing that happened last year. Not sure what they look for but over looking candidates with willingness to learn and well experienced must not be what they want.

Best interview I've been on. Everyone was nice. The interview was laid back. The employees seemed happy and some introduced themselves. Everyone greeted me with a welcome and smiles. Fresh fruit was in every break room we went in during the tour she took me on. Very non-traditional type of company. I'm looking forward to working with them.
