It took a long time and I had several interviews with various people. They started me off with a 20-minute personality test to gauge my fit with the company. After that, I had to do a sales presentation on a topic of my choosing and then answer some additional questions. I put a lot of effort into this, including a couple of follow-ups, but never heard back. I learned from another review that their interview process is usually pretty straightforward, which makes the lack of response even more frustrating.

Behavioral Presentation

So the interview process kicked off with a phone screening, which was actually really nice and made me feel super comfortable. After that, I had a few in-person interviews and one over Zoom. Getting them scheduled was a bit tricky 'cause some of the interviewers were traveling or actually on film sets, which was wild since the interviews happened during a film shoot! But they were pretty flexible with everything, which was great. The very last interview was with the Founder/CEO and it was actually held off-site.

I applied via email after seeing the job advertised on Facebook. Since there was no phone number or HR contact, I messaged the Facebook admin to confirm receipt and was happy to get a response. A few days later, I got a mass email inviting me to the next round, which involved submitting a second application and a 30-second creative video response to a prompt about the boldest thing I'd done to support something important. I found this video requirement odd and not really related to job qualifications. I tracked my application and saw it was reviewed the next day, but then heard nothing for a week. I emailed about my status, but the email wasn't opened. After another week, I sent a reminder via Facebook, and an hour later got an unclear email about application volume delaying next steps. I asked for more info, and three days later, they replied with nothing new. I stopped pursuing it. A week later, I finally received a mass rejection email. I replied expressing disappointment about not interviewing in person and asked for feedback. Three weeks later, still no response.

I had a phone screen with the Chief of Staff, then a video interview with the hiring manager. After that, I was given a writing sample assignment. The process concluded with another video interview with the hiring manager and the VP of Partnerships. They were all very responsive and kept me updated on the next steps. The discussions felt authentic, like they were genuinely looking for the right candidate rather than just screening people out.
