I went for a walk-in interview at the perungaluthur office. There was a written test with one Java question and an English essay. The interview started quite late and the place was small. They seemed to focus more on the essay than the programming task.

We began with an HR round, then proceeded to four personal interviews focused on functional knowledge, domain expertise, and relevant skills. Three of these were one-on-one, and one was with an interview panel. Finally, I had another meeting with HR.

I went through the interview process and initially they offered me less than a 10% hike. After some negotiation, I got about a 25% hike in CTC. However, they wanted me to join within 20 days, but my current notice period is 60 days. My current manager agreed to release me in 45 days, as they needed to fill my position. When I informed the Movate HR about this, they said they could only offer 10% again because the client didn't approve the package I was asking for. The whole process felt like a joke. Movate has a 3-month notice period, and no company would typically release an employee in 20 days, but Movate expected my current organization to do that. When I said it wasn't possible, they revised my package, saying the clients didn't approve it. I had already told them about my current notice period and expected salary. After wasting my time and energy in the interview process, they offered only a 10% hike and demanded I join in 20 days. I don't understand what kind of company would offer just a 10% hike for an experienced candidate.
