The interview process included a one-hour meeting with all the lab members. Following that, there was an HR interview where they asked about my desired salary and if I needed visa sponsorship.

So I had an HR screening first, and then a Zoom call with a PI. The call was pretty chill, mostly just chatting about my past work and what the lab does. They set up an in-person interview during that call. But then, on the day of the interview, I tried to confirm the time via email but didn't hear back. I called the PI to double-check, and they said they'd contact me later to reschedule. The very next day, I got an automated email from HR saying they weren't moving forward with me. It felt really unprofessional and like they didn't value me or my time, which was a bummer because I was really interested in the lab.
