I connected with HR and then the hiring manager for a 30-minute chat about work and my experiences. They mentioned next steps. During the talk, they kept interrupting me while I was answering questions, which was a bummer. They said I was moving forward, but then I heard nothing for weeks about what the next steps were, even though they said someone would reach out, twice. So, I'm just in limbo, not sure if I'll get an offer or not. It feels like a lost cause, even though I'm totally qualified.

It was pretty lighthearted, with appropriate questions like asking about my family and ethnicity. After meeting with the manager, I was asked to come back to meet with the doctor. The doctor gave me a conflicting job description, wanting me to be more of a manager instead of the one they already had. Then, I met with the assistant in the office, who showed us around and introduced us to other assistants in the department.

The interview process was quite lengthy and thorough. There were 5 interview rounds: first with HR, then the Dept Manager, followed by a panel with 2 Doctors and 1 Ops person, then the Head of Dept, and finally, I spent an entire day meeting with 5 separate staff members. I got the offer a week after that. The entire process, from applying to my start date, took about 3 months, spanning July to October. Their onboarding process is also quite extensive, and they do verify all previous employers.
