First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mount Holyoke College.
Recruitment Coordinator
I interviewed remotely and then came to campus for a few hours. They asked me the same questions the whole time. I didn't get picked, but they did ask if I'd consider a different role that paid way less, which I thought was insulting, so I said no.
- Could you tell me about your greatest weakness?
Teaching Assistant
You'll get hired through a job application, and your resume is super important. There are some long-form answers needed in the application. The most critical part is connecting with the professor so they can decide to hire you as a TA.
- What makes you want to be a TA?
Technology Consultant
The interview started with basic behavioral questions, and then we discussed the job description, aligning with availabilities. I also got to know some team members and learned about job responsibilities. It included an intro/icebreaker, behavioral questions (STAR method helpful), situational questions, and questions about teamwork & communication.
- Can you provide an instance of teamwork?
BI Analyst
I applied by sending in my resume and cover letter. Then the hiring manager reached out to schedule an in-person interview at the office. We talked about what she was looking for and what the job would entail. I ended up getting the offer and really enjoyed working with everyone there.
