So I got a call from digital minds technologies in Chennai and they're staffing for Motorola. Motorola had this interview process in a couple of rounds. First, it was a telephonic interview that lasted about 42 minutes. They really grilled me on advanced selenium automation stuff and also asked Java interview questions, like 16 questions in total. Then, the second round was a Zoom interview for 45 minutes. It was pretty similar to the first, more advanced selenium and Java questions, but they threw in just one manual testing question. I answered all 19 questions they asked in this round. And then, they just rejected me without giving any reason! What's really weird is they told me it's a completely manual testing profile, but then they asked only about automation testing, selenium, core Java in depth, and only one manual testing question. So yeah, that was a super bad experience with Motorola. Honestly, they should give exact feedback, especially since I don't think there was any reason to reject me. And if they can't give proper feedback, maybe they shouldn't conduct interviews at all.

I had a really good time interviewing with Noggin. First there was a technical assignment, then I interviewed with the hiring manager and the Head of Technology. The assignment was hands-on and related to the job, so I could show how I do automation and quality engineering. The interviews were professional but felt like conversations. We talked about having a quality mindset, working together with developers, and my testing strategy. I liked that they answered my questions and told me more about the team and company opportunities. Overall, it felt respectful, clear, and well-organized.

So they asked me questions like what is agile development and how would you go about testing something. I had a general screening interview and then an in person group interview about how I would go about testing different products and the type of tests I would do such as bounds checks.
