There was just one round of interviews, and I spoke directly with the senior engineers. They asked me some technical questions about fundamental EE concepts. We covered noise filtering, basic power circuits, and some digital electronics. It was a pretty straightforward interview overall.

I did a walk-in interview at a hotel on Saturday. It was a one-on-one. A few hours later, they called me for a second interview on Sunday. About an hour after that, I got the job offer. The company was growing then, so maybe that's why it was so quick.

I have 28 years of experience. I saw an online Motorola ad and met with an EE Director there for an intro. A week later, I had an interview with 4 other EEs. They seemed knowledgeable but the interview was poorly executed by 3 of them who acted like they knew more than me. The interview felt like a game show where one wrong answer meant you were done. The questions focused on recalling cookbook designs rather than basic EE design skills like circuit analysis. The fourth interviewer was good but didn't have enough time. The Director asked me about the interview, and I told him it went great, not wanting to give negative feedback. I suspect this might be an H1B process, which would mean my time and money were wasted, as I've seen this before. I also think it was unfair to be interviewed by the Director the same day after being mentally exhausted by the other four EEs; I would have preferred to come back the next day for his questions.
