HR Assistant
The 45 minute video interview went well with Stephanie Havstad. Questions were standard. We hit it off and was sent an application to move forward in the interview process. I filled out the application and sent it back to her immediately on 03/18/25. It is now 04/02/25 and I’ve emailed her every couple of days since submitting my application. I have still not heard back from her. Instead, I get a generated email received yesterday from the company saying I am no longer considered for the role. How does a company operate like this? Especially from a leader in Human Resources! You have real life people giving their time to interview. We are looking to provide for our families and you don’t have the decency to at least provide an update directly? This is not how you treat people and I’m glad that I dodged a bullet. Stephanie is not a good representative of your company.
- How do you prioritize responsibilities?
Administrative Assistant
This whole thing took about two weeks. Honestly, it was one of the worst interview experiences I've had. The process felt super inefficient, like a huge chore, really tiring, and way longer than it needed to be. I had to do like 10 different assessments and whip up a bunch of writing samples. Then, there were 4 rounds of interviews (out of the 6 they mentioned). And guess what? All that for a mid-level job with pay that was below the market rate. When I tried to be polite and ask for some feedback, which I felt was fair after all that effort, I got absolutely no reply. I just felt like my time was totally disrespected and wasted. I felt so strongly about it that I decided to write a review, which I think says a lot.
- Tell me about your background and past experiences.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to manage multiple tasks at once?
- How would you go about prioritizing your work when things are hectic?
Compliance Specialist
Thought the third interview was a good sign, but it wasn't. Everything was fine until the 3rd interview, when one of the department managers was about 20 minutes late. They had an attitude from the start and kept it up the whole time. They asked some confusing, tricky questions that made things way more complicated than they needed to be. It felt more like an interrogation than a professional interview. They also implied that being too ambitious is a bad thing, suggesting they want you to stay in the same position forever with no opportunities for growth. When asked about growth, they made me feel like I was asking for too much and said there wasn't much room for it. It was a disappointing experience and a waste of time. The job listing has been up for over 30 days, and I can see why. They might be looking for a superhero or someone with nothing else going on. The only good things were the nice building and the benefits. They need to improve their hiring process and re-evaluate the supervisors they put in charge.
- Can you describe your previous work experience?
- What were your responsibilities in your most recent role?
- What are your career aspirations for the future?
Participant Services Representative
Getting hired took about 2 months. There were quite a few pre-interview meetings, maybe 3 or 4 before they decided. They did both 1 on 1 and group interviews. They seemed really focused on Call Center experience, which I don't think matters that much. The job really needs patience and great customer service skills.
- What's your approach to dealing with an upset client?
