Spray Technician
I had the weirdest interview experience ever. It was at the manager's house, on his back porch. He talked about himself for an hour, sharing stories of his past failures and successes. He didn't ask me anything about my background or explain the job. When I asked about pay and career path, he couldn't recall and brushed it off. He thought I was too qualified, so he spent ages trying to convince me the job wasn't a good fit. Then he asked me to come to the morning meeting to check it out. I told him I was still in the interview process and didn't want to waste anyone's time since I'd finished that part. He insisted, making me uncomfortable and forcing me to lie, saying 'Yes, I'll be there (now let me go)'. He seemed like an okay guy, but I left not understanding the job or what an offer would look like. I didn't go to the meeting. I also wouldn't hire this company.
- What motivates you to seek this particular position?
Administrative Assistant
I first had a virtual interview with my direct supervisor, and then I was invited for an in-person interview. This included separate interviews with 2-3 leaders, an Excel test, and finally a short interview with the Brand President.
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
- What about your weaknesses?
Franchise Business Consultant
I had two initial phone calls with executive management. After that, I was invited to the office for a 5-hour interview process. This involved meeting with managers and team members. The people were nice, the office was pleasant, and the interview schedule was well-organized. There was a panel interview over lunch where both candidates were present.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Pest Control Technician
Had a quick 10-minute phone call, then we met up and talked for about 20 minutes with the owner. He offered me the job, saying I could start training right away. They also do a driving history check since a clean background is needed to drive their company vehicle.
