After signing up, they send an email notification to take a test. The test isn't super easy, but it's manageable. If you get a good enough score, you move on to the next step, which is an online group activity. It was pretty relaxed; they make candidates feel really comfortable.
- What legacy do you want to leave at Mosaic?
Marketing Manager
I went through 8 interviews with 8 different people. It was a mix of one-on-one chats, a panel, and a lunch with three people. First, there was a recruiter call, then a 30-minute chat with the hiring manager. After that, I had a panel interview with the team for the job. This was followed by three more one-on-one interviews. Then, I had a lunch with the hiring manager and two team members. The very last interview was with the COO. The whole thing took 8 weeks. A week after the final interview, I asked for an update on when they'd decide. They told me the same day they were changing the role and wouldn't be hiring me for it. They said the job I'd spent 8 weeks and met 8 people for was now going to be a different role.

Recruiter
This was a short interview, but it was really bad. I had a good screen with the interviewer and we agreed on vision and skills. It was right before the holidays, so they were busy. She said I should meet her boss, who was the main decision maker. She asked me to follow up the next Tuesday if I hadn't heard back about scheduling. I heard nothing when I followed up. I followed up again after the New Year, still no response. I had another offer moving forward fast, but I wanted to reach out one last time to make sure the door was closed because Mosaic seemed like a cool company with a mission-driven culture. I finally got a one-sentence reply asking, 'I forget, did you have tech experience?' I said yes, and then nothing.
- Do you have technical experience?
Accountant
The recruiter contacted me before the weekend asking about lending/loaning experience, which I found confusing since we were scheduled to talk anyway. It seemed like they didn't review my resume beforehand. I answered and was ready to discuss it further on our call. When the day came, the recruiter rushed through questions about my past employers, suggesting a lack of research. Ultimately, they stated my experience wasn't a fit, which felt like a waste of time since they could have known that from my resume if they'd looked. My feedback is: 1. Please thoroughly review resumes before interviewing. If a required skill isn't there, it's likely missing. 2. If a candidate lacks a crucial skill, just inform them. The call wasn't needed, and it was only six minutes when scheduled for twenty, shorter than usual initial screenings. 3. Attention to detail matters in recruiting, just like any job. Most info is on the resume; other things can be discussed on the call. Getting an email Friday night showing a late resume review was unpleasant.
