First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mortgage Cadence.
Senior Analyst
Got referred by a current employee, and applied. Had a telephone interview with HR on 8/16/2021. They only asked about any Non-Compete clauses. Then got referred to the Hiring Manager. After 2 months, and calling HR repeatedly where they said they would follow up with the Hiring Manager, there was no movement.
- Are you subject to any non-compete agreements?
Business Analyst
It was really hard to get the interview set up. The recruiter kept asking for my availability for the upcoming week, and I'd give her a bunch of times that worked for me, but she'd say none of them worked and ask for more. We eventually had to push it out two weeks, and I had to skip a conference session just to fit the hiring manager's schedule.

Software Developer
I found the job online and applied. A recruiter reached out and we set up an in-person interview. It was a panel interview with the manager and some team members. They asked mostly algorithm and 'thought process' questions. I struggled with some, as they kept probing deeper. The team seemed like a great, talented group to work with. The downtown location was also super convenient, right by the light-rail.
- Can you explain how to optimize a prime checking function?
Infrastructure Engineer
Had some email back and forth for scheduling, which was a bit off. Then a couple of phone interviews, and I passed each one. The process hit a snag because one interviewer didn't show up for a scheduled call.
- Can you share your background?
