Technical Behavioral

The hiring process was super fast and smooth. It began with a quick call from a recruiter who laid out the interview steps. The very next day, I had a straightforward tech interview with an engineer. The following week, I spoke with someone from HR. This interview wasn't really behavioral; it mostly focused on confirming my interest in the role and my willingness to work on military software. I felt both interviews went really well and that I was a good fit. However, after the last interview, they went silent for a week even though they said I'd get feedback by the end of the week. They didn't end up giving me an offer. I think it might be because I'm a DS major and expressed interest in DS/ML projects alongside software development, which seems odd if they interviewed me for this role in the first place. They even contacted all my references and got good feedback, but still no offer. That's really unprofessional. Don't contact references if you don't plan on offering the job.

Behavioral Technical Coding

The interview process started with a recruiter phone screen, followed by a virtual technical screen focusing on Javascript and coding abilities. Next was a 90-minute onsite panel interview with engineers. The final round, which was supposed to cover daily operations and project goals, ended up being a repeat of the panel questions and included an unexpected inquiry about my willingness to consider a different, unrelated role. I suspect this was due to poor internal communication, and it ultimately led to my rejection after four weeks of interviews.

Technical Behavioral

I went through a few rounds for the SWE role, starting with a recruiter screen, then a technical screen, and finally a panel interview with some SWEs and Chief Engineers. I was a bit intimidated going into the panel interview, but it ended up being a really great and productive experience overall.
